All coming together beautifully

Seems to be developing itself now, the little green bird is a table number holder but I think he may get a paint job and become pale pink! He came from the Wedding of My Dreams . Brilliant website with really prompt service and the prices are competitive.

Pretty petals will complete the look and tie all the colours together. Sage green seems to be becoming a contender to go with the dusky pink and grey, have to see what h2B wants to wear first

Need to get on the serious stuff of the registrar on Monday as nearly time to give notice (12 months before) Exciting :-)

Success making confetti...

Slightly more success! This batch I put in pillow case and hung on a radiator, 1 week later I have dried petals-yay. Time will tell whether or not they will be ok in a year but I'm going to carry on experimenting and maybe with the use of a de-humidifier. Watch this space, or if you prefer to buy Shropshire Petals  looked beautiful at the National Wedding Show
Its probably what I'll end up doing as they are so reasonable and can add glitter too.

Confetti making...attempt one

I thought what a lovely idea, to make your own confetti. If I start now using the various bunches of flowers over the year I'll have plenty and it will have meaning. So off I went de-heading all my flowers and....
Lesson one, making confetti is not the same as squashing flowers in newspaper and compressing them, end result being what you see on the right. A mouldy mess! yuk :-(

The bird cage with a garland of roses...

This was me playing around with a garland of roses from hobby craft and the Marquis and Dawe bird cage that I spoke about earlier in the blog, cute?

A lucky find

Absolutely chuffed to bits to find this in the most random shop in town.

Matches perfectly to the theme and was only £8!

Just goes to show you need to keep your eyes peeled at all times :-)
